my friends , is it ok to refined the drum of ricoh ft 4615. i am refining it with brasso metal polish very lightly. and how can i adjust lamp voltage in auto exposure. it is getting background at the AE. and there is white spot when i make a black copy. open platen cover.

You need a new drum.

what kind of drum?

we polished the old selenium drums way back in ancient times but I would think it would strip the OPC right off of a newer drum.

yes i will change the drum but how can i calibrate the exposure or change the voltage passing the lamp...auto exposure is very dark. i just want to raise the voltage value
