Im looking for a good Canon ir 2270 fixing assembly that I can rebuild. Some dealers throw these away and just buy new ones because canon rebuilds can be crappy sometimes.

Can someone help? I dont want to pay an arm and a leg for a core that I have to rebuild either. Must have good heating element. So prefer one with a bad film.

thanks

Keep in mind that the 2270/2870 units are different that 3570/4570. They will not interchange.

I think the only difference is the 22, 2870 plug has 2 pins and the 35, 4570 have a 3 pin on the high voltage plug.

Makes a difference though. The film unit are not interchangeable. Also the lower pressure rollers are different.

You can make it work.

A particular ambitious support staff member of ours did put one together with a 3035 heat assembly and a 2270 lower with bearings. From memory it took a pair of vice grips and determination but it did screw down. I think it was that way, it might have been a 2270 heater with a 3035 lower.

I can not even start to describe the destruction when he turned that copier on. From what the customer told me, it was a really loud bang with alot of pops and a whistle.

Same guy that trashed a 550/600 fuser. the sparks from the thrust washers and bias plate on the wrong side should have been a clue on that one. nope. this guy was a piece of work.
