The Space Around the Copier is for PackRat Storage

Posted by Xeroid , 17 February 2011 · 389 views

I was recently stabbed by a wrought iron stake that fell from the corner behind the copier when the power cord was stretched pulling the copier away from the wall. I am often irritated and perplexed at the oddest things some customers choose to store around the copier. It almost seems that if they cannot figure out what to do with it, they put it behind the copier. Perhaps its a flea market mentality that reasons if it is put in view at a location everyone attends, it will disappear on it's own. Yellow Page phone books that no one uses anymore are a real nuisance also. If the shrink wrap is still on them and I see where they have not been used then it is straight to the recycle bin for those dinosaurs. Space around the copier is a valuable commodity to those of us who exert and spend their physical health accessing the full dimensions of the machines. I wish there were a good way to make customers appreciate this. Getting picky about space is a good opening for competition in this business these days. I rarely say even a word but I am starting to leave out the obstructions I remove for them to deal with again. Sadly they end up right where they were before.
